Spokesperson' position on the institution and their educational options

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá osobou tiskového mluvčího jako spojovacího článku mezi prostředím organizace, kterou prezentuje a veřejností. Cílem této práce je nejenom odkrýt profesi tiskového mluvčího, ale zodpovědět otázky, zda je například tiskový mluvčí pouhým tlumočníkem názorů či postojů organizace anebo dochází k upevňování jeho pozice a role. Zda se postavení tiskového mluvčího v České republice liší od postavení mluvčích ve světě. Jestli je tiskový mluvčí součástí managementu, jaké jsou jeho kompetence a zodpovědnost, zda se podílí na řízení a na tvorbě zásadních strategických dokumentů organizace, v jakých podmínkách pracuje a za jakých finančních podmínek. Práce, a především její praktická část, také ukazuje, zda jsou v organizacích nastavena jasná pravidla interní komunikace, zda existuje komunikační plán a plán krizové komunikace. V neposlední řadě přibližuje tato diplomová práce první rámcovou představu o studijním specializačním oboru ?MLUVČÍ?, který by mohl být akreditován na podzim 2009 v rámci studia na Vysoké škole finanční a správní v Praze

Abstract:

The thesis ?The Position and Role of the Spokesperson of an Organisation? deals with the spokesperson as the link between the environment of an organisation, which s/he represents, and the public. The aim of this dissertation is not only to reveal the profession of the spokesperson but also to answer questions such as whether the spokesperson is only an interpretor of opinions and attitudes of the organisation or whether there is a greater significance to his/her role and position; whether or not there is a difference between the position of a spokesperson in the Czech Republic and spokespeople in the world; whether or not the spokesperson is a part of the management; what his/her competences and responsibilities are; whether or not s/he takes part in managing and creation of fundamental strategic documents of an organisation; in what conditions s/he works and what salary package s/he receives. The thesis, and especially its practical part, shows whether clear rules of internal communication are set up and whether there exists a communication plan and a crisis communication plan. Last but not least, this thesis outlines a potential framework for a specialised field of study - ?THE SPOKESPERSON?, which could be accredited in autumn 2009 at the Institute of Finance and Administration in Prague
