Effects of the nutrition on behaviour and performance of the horse

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na výživu koní. Rozebírá, jaké jsou nejvhodnější způsoby krmení pro posílení zdraví a přirozeného chování koně a také výběr ideálního krmiva pro zachování optimální výkonnosti především ve sportu. Práce pojednává o dvouch tradičních komoditách ve výživě koní, jakými jsou seno a oves. Je tak rozdělena na dvě části věnující se těmto tématům. První část se zabývá tím, jaký vliv má krmení sena na chování a výkon koně. Druhá část je zaměřená na možnou náhradu ovsa v krmné dávce. V části zabývající se vlivem sena na chování a výkon koně se rozebírá například doba a interval krmení, způsob dávkování a správné množství sena v krmné dávce. Dále pak je v práci zmiňováno, jaký typ zpracování a jaká kvalita sena je nejvhodnější a jaký mají tyto faktory dopad na zdraví a výkon koně. Ve druhé části, která rozebírá náhradu ovsa, je pojednáno o působení koncentrovaných krmiv na organismus koně, o možnostech náhrady tradičních komponentů ve výživě koně, které mohou zpestřit krmnou dávku a jak tyto alternativy působí na zdraví, chování a výkon. Tato práce se zaměřuje na způsoby výživy, které prokazatelně vedou ke zdravému a kvalitnímu životu koně.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the nutrition of horses and discusses what are the most suitable ways of feeding to improve the health and natural behavior of the horse, as well as the selection of the ideal feed to maintain optimal performance, especially in sports. The thesis is based on two traditional commodities in horse nutrition, such as hay and oats. It is thus divided into two parts devoted to these topics. The first part deals with the influence of hay feeding on the behavior and performance of the horse, the second part on the possible replacement of oats in the feed ration. In the part dealing with the influence of hay on the behavior and performance of the horse, it is discussed, for example, the time and interval of feeding, the ideal method of dosing, the right amount, appropriate type of processing and quality of hay and what impact these factors on the health and performance of horses have. In the second part, about oat replacement, the effects of concentrated feed on the horse's body, the possibility of replacing traditional components in horse nutrition that can diversify the feed ration are discussed and how these alternatives affect health, behavior and performance. The thesis focuses on the ways of feeding, which demonstrably led to a healthy and quality life of the horse.
