Extinct village Hrdlovka in the memories of witnesses

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá likvidací zaniklé obce Hrdlovka na Duchcovsku v okrese Teplice. Práce popisuje historii obce do roku 1975 a vývoj těžby hnědého uhlí v severočeském regionu. V první části práce je uvedena stručná historie obce. Větší pozornost je v druhé části věnována období poválečnému s důrazem na poslední léta její existence a na samotný proces zániku Hrdlovky. S využitím metod orální historie práce nastiňuje každodenní a společenský život v obci očima tehdejších obyvatel. Na základě studia dostupných archivních pramenů pak představuje pohled na likvidaci z hlediska oficiálních institucí a jejich srovnání s dobovým narativem, úředními prameny, literaturou a dobovými tisky. Poslední část textu se zabývá osudem památek, které byly z Hrdlovky přeneseny a nově vznikajícím památníkem. Cílem práce je pokus o rekonstrukci procesu likvidace obce. Snahou je kombinací písemných pramenů a vzpomínkami pamětníků zachytit střet nadřazených politicko-ekonomických zájmů s individuálními potřebami jednotlivých obyvatel.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the liquidation of the defunct village Hrdlovka in the Duchcov region in the district of Teplice. The thesis describes the history of the village until 1975 and the development of brown coal mining in the North Bohemian region. The first part of the thesis presents a brief history of the village. In the second part, more attention is paid to the post-war period with emphasis on the last years of its existence and the very process of the demise of Hrdlovka. Using the methods of oral history, the work outlines the daily and social life in the village through the eyes of the then inhabitants. Based on the study of available archival sources, it presents a view of liquidation from the point of view of official institutions and their comparison with period narrative, official sources, literature and periodicals. The last part of the text deals with the fate of the monuments that were transferred from Hrdlovka and the newly emerging monument. The aim of the work is an attempt to reconstruct the process of liquidation of the village. The effort is to capture the conflict of superior political and ecomomic interests with individual needs of individual inhabitants through a combination of written sources and the memories of witnesses.
