This thesis will focus on the concept of marriage in the novels of Jane Austen. It will search for differences in how the characters see marriage, how they pursue it and what their reasons for finding husband/wife are. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem manželství ve vybraných novelách Jane Austen. Hledá rozdíly v tom, jak postavy vnímají manželství, jak k němu přistupují a jaké jsou jejich důvody pro získání manžela/manželky.
