Woman's satisfaction with newborn care at childbed department

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the satisfaction of a woman with the care of a newborn in the childbed department. The aim of our bachelor's thesis was to determine the degree of satisfaction of first-time mothers with the care of nurses and midwives for a newborn in the childbed department. The secondary objectives was to find out the difference in the education of child nurses and midwives, the level of satisfaction of first-time mothers depending on the method of childbirth, the willingness and help of staff and the organization in the field of newborn care in the childbed department. For the elaboration of the practical part, a quantitative method of an anonymous questionnaire of one 's own creation was used. The research group consisted of 120 first-time mothers after spontaneous birth or caesarean section hospitalized in the childbed department at Krompachy Hospital. The obtained data were recorded in tables and graphs. The results showed that the satisfaction of first-time mothers with the care of the newborn was relatively high. It is important to respect the requirements and wishes of the mother, to ensure the needs of both mother and child and also to adapt the individuality of education to individual mothers.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá spokojnosťou ženy so starostlivosťou o novorodenca na oddelení šestonedelia. Cieľom bakalárskej práce bolo zistiť mieru spokojnosti prvorodičiek so starostlivosťou detských sestier a pôrodných asistentiek o novorodenca na oddelení šestonedelia. Vedľajšími cieľmi bolo zistiť odlišnosť edukácie detských sestier a pôrodných asistentiek, mieru spokojnosti prvorodičiek závislú na spôsobe pôrodu, s ochotou a pomocou personálu a s organizáciou v oblasti týkajúcej sa starostlivosti o novorodenca na oddelení šestonedelia. Pre vypracovanie praktickej časti bola použitá kvantitatívna metóda anonymného dotazníka vlastnej tvorby. Výskumnú skupinu tvorilo 120 prvorodičiek po spontánnom pôrode alebo cisárskom reze hospitalizovaných na oddelení šestonedelia v Nemocnici Krompachy. Získané údaje boli zaznamenané do tabuliek a grafov. Výsledky ukázali, že spokojnosť prvorodičiek so starostlivosťou o novorodenca bola pomerne vysoká. Dôležité je rešpektovať požiadavky a priania matky, zaistiť potreby matky aj dieťaťa a taktiež prispôsobovať individualitu edukácie jednotlivým matkám.
