The concept of the liquidation method for business valuation

Abstract:

Disertační práce je věnována likvidační metodě ocenění podniku. Cílem disertační práce je vymezit hlavní koncepčí prvky likvidační metody ocenění podniku s ohledem na podmínky v ČR a tím přispět k prohloubení metodologie oceňování a ke zlepšení praxe oceňování podniků. Součástí disertační práce je analýza vzorku již provedených likvidačních ocenění ve znaleckých posudcích v ČR, jejímž cílem bylo zjistit typické rysy likvidačního ocenění v praxi. Další součástí je empirická analýza charakteristik proběhnuvších likvidací v ČR, zejména jejich délek, která je založena na rozsáhlém vzorku více než 80 tis. likvidací. Nejvýznamnější a nejrozsáhlejší částí disertační práce je samotná koncepce likvidační metody ocenění podniku, která zahrnuje i doporučení pro její aplikaci v podmínkách ČR.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis is focused on the liquidation method for business valuation purposes. The goal of the dissertation is to define the main conceptual elements of the liquidation method for business valuation purposes with regard to the conditions in the Czech Republic and thus to contribute to the improvement of the valuation methodology and business valuation practice. The dissertation thesis comprises a sample analysis of the liquidation valuations that have been already carried out in expert valuation reports in the Czech Republic. The goal of the sample analysis was to find out the typical features of the liquidation valuation in practice. Next part part of the dissertation thesis comprises an empirical analysis of the liquidations' characteristics in the Czech Republic, especially their lengths. The analysis is based on a large sample of more than 80 thousand liquidations. The most important and the most extensive part of the dissertation thesis deals with the concept of the liquidation method of valuation for business valuation purposes and includes recommendations for its application in the Czech Republic.
