Weather proverbs in Czech and Polish

Anotace:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je komparace českých a polských pranostik. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části je uvedena definice frazeologie a předmět jejího studia. Následuje definice paremiologie a slova "pranostika". Jsou rovněž uvedeny jednotlivé typy pranostik. Práce se také zaměřuje na vznik a vývoj pranostik v české a polské paremiologii. Dále jsou uvedeny možnosti datování v pranostikách a rozdělení roku a dne. Poslední kapitola této části je věnována českým a polským názvům měsíců a ročních období. V praktické části jsou analyzovány vybrané české a polské pranostiky. Jsou uvedeny pranostiky, které se vztahují k jednotlivým ročním obdobím, měsíců a některým dnů v roce. Primárním cílem práce je určit blízkost či rozdíly mezi českými a polskými pranostikami.

Abstract:

The Master‘s Thesis subject is the comparison of the Czech and Polish weather proverbs. It is divided into two parts. Definitions of phraseology and the subject of its study are explained in the theoretical part, where the meaning of the word weather proverbs and their types are presented as well. The thesis are also focused on the origin and evolution of the weather proverbs. Furthermore, the thesis specifies dating in weather proverbs and division of a year and day. The last chapter of this section is devoted to the Czech and Polish names of the months and seasons of the year. The Czech and Polish weather proverbs are analyzed in the other part of the thesis. Weather proverbs related to the seasons, months and days of the year are also presented there. The determination of the proximity and differences between the Czech and Polish weather proverbs is the aim.
