Position of women within labour market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje postavení žen na trhu práce jakožto aktuální tematice, která se bezprostředně týká současné společnosti. Její část se dotýká historického vývoje této problematiky. Stěžejní část se věnuje především pozorování období po roce 1989 s důrazem na současný stav a s ohledem na procesy a jevy vyplývající z období po roce 1948. Výstupem je analýza trhu práce z pohledu nynější pozice žen současně s posouzením jejich diferenciovaného postavení ve vztahu k mužům. Práce se také zabývá regionálním srovnáním jednotlivých problémů. Cílem tedy je zodpovědět otázky, zda se ženám dostává rovných příležitostí, zda se smazávají genderové rozdíly na trhu práce a jakou roli v této problematice hraje region.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the status of women within labour market, which is a topical issue closely connected with society nowadays. Part of this thesis is aimed at historical development of this issue. The major part of the thesis thoroughly monitors the era since 1989 up till now with emphasis on present day situation and with respect for processes and features that emerged after 1948. The result is the analysis of labour market from the point of view of today's status of women bearing in mind their different status compared with men. The thesis also explores different statuses of women with respect to particular regions. The aim of the thesis is to answer the question whether women have equal opportunities, whether gender differences on labour market diminish and what role is played by particular regions in this issue.
