Humanism of 21. st century

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o humanismu, humanistických principech a tendencích. Na otázky související s humanismem je zde nahlíženo jednak v širším pojetí, a to z pozice Organizace spojených národů jako mezinárodní organizace zabývající se lidskými právy a svobodami, ale také z pohledu jednotlivce, v tomto případě dalajlamy XIV., který je považován za mezinárodní autoritu ve věci lidských práv. Podstatná část této práce je věnována globálním problémům, které úzce souvisí s činností člověka a jeho hodnotami.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis primarily discusses humanism, its principles and tendencies. On issues related to humanism is both viewed from a broader sense. Firstly, from the position of United Nations as an international organisation that deals with human rights and freedoms, and secondly, from the perspective of individual, in this case from a perspective of Dalajlama XIV., who is regarded as international authority in the matter of human rights. A substantial part of this thesis is devoted to global issues, which are closely related to human activities and values.
