Space Inside Of Virtual Reality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje prostoru ve virtuální realitě se zaměřením na umělecké instalace a performativní formy. Práce obsahuje obecnou definici pojmu virtuální realita, historii jejího vzniku a současné tendence. Zabývá se obecnou definicí prostoru a způsoby smyslového vnímání prostoru člověkem. Tedy do jaké míry je naše definice prostoru utvářena jednotlivými smysly. Jaký vliv má narativ na celkovou imerzi virtuální reality a do jaké míry je imerze slučitelná s interaktivitou v rozhraní virtuální reality? V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá rolí paměti a smyslového vnímání jako subjektivní složky při vnímání prostoru obecně i prostoru virtuální reality. Poslední část diplomové je zaměřená na současné tendence prezentace virtuálních prostorů ve veřejnosti přístupných virtuálních zážitcích. Zabývá se mírou propojení iluze a imerze a vlivem narativu na samotnou interakci s prostorem, demonstrované na konkrétních příkladech.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with space in virtual reality with a focus on art installation and performative forms. The thesis contains a general definition of the term virtual reality, the history of your origin and current trends. It deals with the general definition of space and the device of sensory perception of space by the user. That is, to what extent our definitions of space are shaped by individual senses. What effect does the narrative have on the overall immersion of virtual reality, and to what extent is immersion compatible with interactivity at the interface of virtual reality? Last but not least, the work deals with the role of memory and sensory perception as a subjective component in the perception of space in general and the space of virtual reality. The last part of the diploma thesis is focused on the current tendency of presentation of virtual spaces in the public accessible virtual experiences. It deals with the degree of connection of illusion and the influence of narrative on the very interaction with space, using specific examples.
