Relation between Personality Types and Spirituality

Abstract:

Typy osobnosti podle C. G. Junga konkretizovaných šestnácti typy v dotazníku MBTI autorkami Isabelou Briggs Myers a Katharinou Cook Briggs dává v dnešní době jeden z nejpoužívanějších, nejrozsáhlejších a nejkomplexnějších obrazů o různých typech lidí. Tato práce se zabývá zjištěním typu osobnosti podle dotazníku MBTI a zjištěním spirituality u vybraného vzorku praktikujících českých katolíků. Na základě tohoto zjištění je vyjádřen vztah mezi typem osobnosti a spiritualitou. Cílem je posoudit, do jaké míry má typ osobnosti podle dotazníku MBTI vliv na spiritualitu a duchovní život člověka, jestli má nějaký typ větší sklon k víře v Boha a nějaký méně, či jak ten který typ víru prožívá a praktikuje ve svém běžném životě. Práce dospívá k tomu, že skutečně existuje vztah mezi typem osobnosti, praktikováním víry a náboženskou konverzí.

Abstract:

Personality types by C. G. Jung concretized with sixteen types in questionnaire MBTI by authors Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs makes today one of the most popular and the largest and the most komplex images about different types of people. This work deals with finding the type of personality by MBTI questionnaire and finding spirituality in the Czech sample of practicing Catholics. Based on this finding is expressed the relationship between the type of personality and spirituality. The aim is to assess to what extent the type of personality by MBTI questionnaire has influence on spirituality and spiritual life of man. If some type has greater tendency to believe in God and if some type has less tendency or whether that type experiences his faith and how he practices it in his everyday life. This work comes to the fact that there is indeed a relationship between the personality type and religious practices and religious conversion.
