Abstract:
This master thesis focuses on four novels; Sula, The Bluest Eye, The Color Purple and Corregidora, by three significant African-American female authors, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker and Gayl Jones. I will deal with several aspects of the process of liberation of each of the protagonists, Sula, Pecola, Celie and Ursa. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na podrobnou analýzu hlavních hrdinek čtyř románů, konkrétně na Sulu a Nejmodřejší oči od Toni Morrison, Barvu nachu od Alice Walker a Corregidoru od Gayl Jones.
