Diplomová práce podává přehled o aktuálním stavu problematiky demencí. Zabývá se nejen definicemi a vymezením pojmu demence, ale i vznikem a vývojem, klasifikacemi, klinickými projevy, patofyziologií nejvíce vyskytovaných forem demencí.
