Analysis of foreigners in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá cizinci na území České republiky. Uvádí podstatné pojmy, které souvisí s migrací a integrací cizinců. Představuje dostupné zdroje a datové podklady, které lze potencionálně využít pro danou problematiku, přičemž uskutečněnou analýzou byl jako nejlepší vyhodnocen Český statistický úřad. Je poukázáno na nedostatek dostupných dat o cizincích na nižších územních celcích. Počet cizinců v České republice roste, mezi lety 1996 až 2016 se počet více než zdvojnásobil. Cizinci nejčastěji pobývají v hlavním městě, v relativním poměru s Čechy jsou více v produktivním věku a jejich počet v poměru s Čechy stoupá rychleji. V rámci českého vzdělávacího systému tvoří cizinci poměrně významnou část studentů. Lze konstatovat i to, že v důsledku velkého počtu dat nelze přehledně vyjádřit danou problematiku, protože při grafickém znázornění ztrácí data na přehlednosti.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on theme of foreigners in the Czech Republic. It presents main terms that are connected to migration and integration of foreigners. It introduces available sources of data which are usable for this topic. Czech Statistical Office is chosen as the best data source. It is shown that there is not enough available data on smaller parts of the country. Number of foreigners in Czech Republic is rising and between years 1996 to 2016 the number has more than doubled. Most of the foreigners live in the capital city. In relative numbers there are more foreigners in productive age than Czech people and total number of foreigners is also going up faster. There is an important fact that every sixth student of universities in the Czech Republic is a foreigner. The thesis also shows that it is difficult to present this issue due to high amount of data and limits of graphs and tables.
