Student´s memories of teaching and their overlap into the choice of profession

Abstract:

Téma mé bakalářské práce je z mého pohledu, tedy studenta PdF OU, velmi zajímavé a přínosné. Myslím si, že nejen pro studenty učitelství a učitele samotné může být tato problematika značně obohacující a aktuální. Má práce se zaměřuje na vzpomínky studentů učitelství na učitele a na přesah těchto vzpomínek do výběru jejich profese, tedy učitelství. Cílem práce je zjistit, do jaké míry jsou studenti učitelství ovlivnění svou vlastní školní docházkou a vztahem, který měli nebo neměli s vyučujícími, se kterými se během své povinné školní docházky setkali. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na motivy, zájmy a hodnoty, které nás do značné míry utvářejí, dále pak na typologii osobnosti, vzpomínky z dětství a jejich přesah a v neposlední řadě také na různé typologie učitelů. Ve výzkumné části se poté snažím zjistit, za pomoci narativní analýzy, jaký přesah zanechaly ve studentech vzpomínky na jejich učitele a školu jako takovou. K tomuto výzkumu mi posloužilo 50 seminárních prací studentů PdF OU.

Abstract:

The topic of my bachelor thesis is from my point of view, that is the standpoint of the PdF OU student, very interesting and beneficial. I consider this issue to be current and of value not only to students of teaching, but also to teachers themselves. My work focuses on teaching students´ recollection of their teachers and the overlap of these memories to their own career choice of becoming a teacher. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the extent to which teaching students are influenced by their school attendance as well as relationships with the teachers whom they have met during compulsory education. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical chapters are dedicated to the motives, interests and values, which largely shape us along with personality typologies, childhood memories and their overlap. Last but not least focus is placed on various teacher typologies. In the empirical part I am aiming at determining the overlap of students´ memories of their teachers and school as such using a narrative analysis. 50 student papers of PdF OU have been used in my research.
