Impact of the implementation of disciplinary rewards and punishments for the resocialization of selected groups of sentenced in imprisonment

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je prozkoumat a analyzovat, zda realizace kázeňských odměn a kázeňských trestů ovlivňuje průběh resocializace vybraných skupin odsouzených ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. V první kapitole teoretické části představuji Vězeňskou službu ČR jako subjekt zajišťující výkon trestu odnětí svobody. Druhou kapitolu věnuji diferencovanému výkonu trestu. Ve třetí kapitole se zabývám aspekty resocializace vězněných osob. Čtvrtá kapitola pojednává o motivaci odsouzeného. V závěrečné kapitole se věnuji kázeňské praxi jako výchovnému prostředku zacházení s vězněnými osobami. Cílem výzkumné části je získat informace, zda realizace kázeňské praxe ovlivňuje průběh resocializace vybraných skupin odsouzených a zda tyto instituty jsou významným motivačním prvkem.

Abstract:

The main goal of this work is to explore and analyze whether the implementation of disciplinary rewards and disciplinary sanctions influences the course of rehabilitation of selected groups of prisoners serving a sentence of imprisonment. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. In the first chapter of the theoretical part I introduce the Prison Service of the Czech Republic as an entity providing imprisonment. The second chapter is devoted to differentiated prison. The third chapter deals with aspects of the rehabilitation of prisoners. In the fourth chapter I discuss the motivation of the convicts. The final chapter is devoted to the educational disciplinary practice as a means of dealing with prisoners. The aim of the research is to obtain information as to whether the implementation of disciplinary practice influences the course of rehabilitation of selected groups of prisoners and whether these arrangements are an important motivator.
