Imaging of fetus using magnetic resonance

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce na téma zobrazení plodu pomocí MR je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je v první řadě popsán vývoj zdravého plodu ve třech stádiích, od početí až po třetí trimestr, a v druhé řadě vývojové vady a poruchy plodu, ke kterým může dojít v průběhu těhotenství. Dále se zde nachází seznámení s prenatální diagnostikou, aneb čím vším by měla těhotná žena projít, co se týče vyšetření jí samotné a plodu. Závěrem jsou zde popsány dvě zobrazovací metody, které se používají k vyšetření plodu ultrazvuk a magnetická rezonance. V praktické části jsou uvedeny kazuistiky pacientek, které podstoupily magnetickou rezonanci pro vyšetření plodu, data jsou získána z Fakultní nemocnice Lochotín. Podle těchto informací se snažíme určit nejčastější indikace k vyšetření plodu pomocí magnetické rezonance.

Abstract:

This thesis on Fetal Imaging using MR is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, there is firstly described the development of a healthy fetus in three stages, from conception until the third trimester. Secondly, there are described congenital developmental defects and birth defects of fetus which may occur during pregnancy. This part also includes familiarization with prenatal diagnosis indicating what examinations a pregnant woman should go through in terms of herself and the fetus. Finally, there are described two imaging techniques which are used for examination of the fetus - ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging. In the practical part, there are presented case reports of patients who underwent magnetic resonance imaging of fetus, data are obtained from the Faculty Hospital Lochotín. According to this information, we are trying to identify the most common indications for examination of fetus using magnetic resonance imaging.
