Evil Characters in Three Novels of the Brontë Sisters

Abstract:

This bachelor paper is focused on three novels written by Brontë sisters. These three novels are Jane Eyre written by Charlotte, Wuthering Heights written by Emily and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall written by Anne Brontë. The aim of this paper is to find out some evil characters in these three novels. Then these evil characters are compared with some aspects of the Victorian period. The paper mentions some aspects of the Victorian period, authors? biography, plot summaries of the novels, a description of evil characters and some aspects of the Victorian period appearing in three novels. This work also shows that Brontë sisters used their experience in their novels, and that evil characters were punished.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá třemi romány od sester Brontëových. Tyto tři romány jsou, Jane Eyre od Charlotte, Wuthering Heights od Emily a The Tenant of Wildfell Hall od Anne Brontëové. Cílem této práce je najít charaktery zla v těchto třech románech. Poté jsou tyto charaktery zla srovnány s některými aspekty Viktoriánské doby. Práce se zmiňuje o některých aspektech Viktoriánské doby, o biografii autorek, obsahu románů, popisu charakterů zla a některých aspektech Viktoriánské doby objevujících se v románech. Tato práce také ukazuje, že sestry Brontëovy využily své zkušenosti ve svých románech, a že charaktery zla byly potrestány.
