The bachelor thesis analyzes change and degree of continuity in the policy of containment of the USSSR in the seventies in comparison with the decades preceding American involvement in the Vietnam war. The thesis takes into account opinions of George Kennan and the extent to which they were reflected in the Nixon and Ford administrative.
