Abstract:
V práci se autorka snaží zachytit historii spolku Dům umění v Moravské Ostravě, jak vznikl, proč: zabývá se tedy i stavbou Domu umění. V druhé části pátrá po sběratelské a výstavní činnosti Rudolfa Helbicha, který byl také členem spolku Dům umění. Tímto se pokouší propojit jak veřejnou, tak soukromou sféru a zjistit, do jaké míry má jednotlivec možnost ovlivnit činnost nějaké instituce – v tomto případě …more

In this thesis, author is trying to map history of spolek Dům umění v Moravské Ostravě (Club of House of Arts in Moravská Ostrava), it's origins and incentives (building of House of Arts included). In the second part she analyses collection and exhibiton activities of Rudolf Helbich, who was a member of this Club.
