Rozvojová pomoc hrála klíčovou úlohu ve znovuoživení rwandské ekonomiky po genocidě roku 1994. Tradiční zahraniční donoři poskytující tuto pomoc k ní však připojili několik podmínek demokratizace a ochrany lidských práv. Development assistance played a crucial role in Rwandan economic recovery after the 1994 genocide. Rwandan traditional donors attached to this assistance various aid conditionalities regarding democratization and human rights protection.
