The thesis focuses on the dialects of London, specifically on Cockney and Estuary English, their development, and comparison with Standard English. The thesis is divided into two main sections. The theoretical part focuses on defining the terms dialects and accent and further deals with the development of the aforementioned varieties. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na Londýnské dialekty, konkrétně Cockney a Estuary English, jejich vývoj a porovnání se Standard English. Práce je rozdělena do dvou větších částí. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na definování termínů dialekt a akcent a dále se zabývá vývojem výše uvedených variet.
