Hotel Group CPI Hotels I.N.C., and its presentation on the Czech Hospitality Market

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis “The Hotel Group CPI Hotels I.N.C. and its presentation on the Czech Hospitality Market” assesses the overall presentation of the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group on the hospitality market in the Czech republic – since its establishment to the present days. The objective of the thesis is to determine the reasons for the low public recognition of the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group – in spite of the fact that it belongs to the biggest hospitality companies on the Czech market. The first part of this thesis introduces the reader to the establishment, development, and activities of the companies on the hospitality market, which is influenced to a large extend by the globalization and the integration tendencies; subsequently are introduced the basic hotel terms. The second part introduces the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group such as – its establishment and development, its services, and its specific business and marketing activities. This part also contains a marketing survey research, the aim of which is to determine the level of the recognition and to assess the popularity of the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group among the Czech public. The last part summarizes the findings and responds to the original aim of this thesis. The marketing strategy of the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group is established in a rather untraditional way, which arises from the heterogenous portfolio of the hotels owned by the group. Therefore the closing part of the thesis proposes measures, which should lead to the improvement over the current level of the public perception of the CPI Hotels I.N.C. Group, and thus to the improvement of its current position on the Czech hospitality market.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca s názvom „Hotelová spoločnosť CPI Hotels, a.s. a jej prezentácia na hotelovom trhu Českej republiky“ sa zaoberá zhodnotením prezentácie hotelovej spoločnosti CPI Hotels, a.s. na českom trhu od jej vzniku až po súčasnosť. Za cieľ si dáva zistiť, aké sú príčiny toho, že hotelová spoločnosť CPI Hotels, a.s. je nedostatočne vnímaná verejnosťou, aj napriek svojmu postaveniu medzi najväčšími poskytovateľmi ubytovania v Českej republike. V práci je čitateľ najskôr oboznámený so vznikom, vývojom a pôsobením hotelových spoločností, na ktoré v značnej miere pôsobí globalizácia a integračné tendencie. Následne je oboznámený so základnými hotelovými pojmami využívanými v tejto práci. Časť bakalárskej práce je venovaná predstaveniu spoločnosti CPI Hotels, a.s., jej vzniku a vývoju, priblíženiu produktov a následne uvedeniu konkrétnych príkladov jej obchodných a marketingových aktivít. Súčasťou práce je aj prieskum zameraný na zistenie obľúbenosti a poznania spoločnosti CPI Hotels, a.s. českou verejnosťou. Záver práce je zhrnutím skutočností, ktoré boli odpoveďou na predpokladaný cieľ tejto bakalárskej práce. Základnou skutočnosťou je potvrdenie toho, že marketingová stratégia spoločnosti CPI Hotels, a.s. je vytváraná pomerne netradičnou formou v závislosti na rôznorodosti portfólia. Následne boli v bakalárskej práci navrhnuté opatrenia k zlepšeniu pozície a vnímania hotelovej spoločnosti CPI Hotels, a.s. v mysliach zákazníkov.
