Abstract:
Práce se zabývá možným vlivem překladu filmových titulků na způsob, jakým diváci vnímají obraz žen a problematiku tohoto genderu. Práce přináší přehled základních pojmů z oblasti genderové problematiky a titulkování a analýzu českých titulků ke čtyřem anglicky mluveným filmům.
Abstract:
The thesis explores the possible influence of the translation of film subtitles on the audience’s perception of the female gender. It includes an overview of some key concepts related to gender and subtitling, and an analysis of Czech subtitles to four English-language films.
