The current form of the orphan's pension in the Czech republic and comparison with selected countries

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je současná podoba sirotčího důchodu v České republice a komparace s vybranými zeměmi. První část práce se zabývá problematikou sirotčích důchodů v České republice. Obsahuje ucelené informace o tomto pozůstalostním důchodu včetně nejnovějších změn v legislativě. Další částí práce je analýza principu finančního zabezpečení sirotků a polosirotků ve vybraných zemích světa a komparace těchto systémů se systémem zabezpečení pozůstalých dětí v České republice. Z komparace vyplývá, že český systém je na velmi dobré úrovni. V porovnání s ostatními státy je k dětem poměrně štědrý. Hlavním nedostatkem systému zůstává fakt, že pro vznik nároku na tuto dávku je nutné splnění podmínky minimální doby pojištění ze strany zemřelého rodiče. Toto často vyvolává pochybnosti o naplnění hlavního účelu dávky, kterým je finanční zabezpečení nezaopatřených dětí.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the contemporary form of an orphan's pension in the Czech Republic and a comparison of it with representative countries. The first part of the thesis focus on issues of orphan's pension in the Czech Republic. It contents complex information about this kind of survivors'pension including current legislative transformations. Next part of the thesis is an analysis of principle of financial orphans' ensuring in representative countries and comparison of these systems with a system of surviving children's ensuring in the Czech Republic. The comparison shows that the Czech system is on a good level. It is relatively generous in a comparison with the other countries. The main shortcoming of this system is the fact that requirement of minimal insurance time by the dead parent is necessary to be carried out. This fact is often questioned, if it carries out its main function, which is financial ensuring of an dependent child.
