Comparison of support for children and pupils with special educational needs in the Czech Republic and Poland

Abstract:

Podpora žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami může být zásadním faktorem pro úspěšnost ve výchově a vzdělávání, což ovlivňuje celkovou motivaci a chuť k práci, a dále vede k pozitivnímu vývoji celkové osobnosti jedince. V jednotlivých státech Evropské unie se může podpora dětí a žáků se specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami lišit. V této práci jsme se zaměřili na komparaci našeho státu se sousedícím Polskem. Polsko je zkušenou zemí v oblasti speciální pedagogiky, proto jsme se snažili v této práci srovnat jejich vzdělávací systém právě s tím naším. Domníváme se, že by tento výzkum mohl být pro mnoho odborníků, a nejen pro ně, zajímavý a přínosný. Diplomová práce se zabývá dětmi a žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, zejména pak žáky se sluchovým postižením. V teoretické části srovnáváme segregovanou a inkluzivní výchovu a vzdělávání, školský zákon, podpůrná opatření a poradenská zařízení, která jsou k dispozici v České republice a v Polsku. V praktické části komparujeme podporu dětí a žáku se sluchovým postižením v České republice a Polsku. Uvádíme čtyři případové studie, do kterých jsme získávali informace pomocí pozorování, analýzy dokumentů a rozhovorů. Z dat, která jsme získali z šetření, vytváříme závěr celého výzkumu, kterým představujeme výsledky analýzy výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

Support of students with special educational needs can be an essential factor for success in upbringing and education, which both influence overall motivation and drive for work and further contribute to positive development of one's overall personality. The support for students with special educational needs can differ amongst different states of the European Union. This thesis is focused on comparison of our country with the neighbouring Poland. Poland has a significant experience in the field of special education, therefore we compared its educational system with the one in our country. We believe that this research could be very interesting and insightful for many experts, and not only them. This master thesis is focusing on children and students with special educational needs, mainly those with hearing impairment. In the theoretical part we compare segregated and inclusive upbringing and education, education law, supporting measures and advisory services available in the Czech Republic and Poland. In the practical part we balance the differences in support of the children and students with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic and Poland. We presents four case studies for which we collected the data by observation, documentation analysis and interviews. Using the data collected during the experiment, we come to the conclusion which represents overall results of this research study.
