Srdeční selhání je v současnosti stále nejčastější příčinou úmrtí a nejčastěji postihuje levou srdeční komoru. Potenciální využití kardiomyocytů získaných diferenciací z pluripotentních kmenových buněk je slibnou strategií pro léčbu srdečních onemocnění.
