Personnel clerks attitudes to employment of women at the age of 18 – 30

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na postoje personalistů k zaměstnávání žen ve věku od 18 do 30 let, přičemž zkoumá, zda jsou tyto postoje naplněné nebo nenaplněné předsudečnými a stereotypními postoji. Práce se také zabývá tím, jak hodnotí personalisté ženy jako zaměstnankyně a jak přistupují v jednotlivých oblastech přijímání uchazečů o zaměstnání k ženám jako potencionálním zaměstnancům. Minimalizace nebo přehlížení tohoto problému vede k neřešení diskriminace, předsudečných a stereotypních postojů a jsou tedy stále aktuálním problémem naší společnosti. Empirická část této práce se snaží o reflexi postojů personalistů ze středně velkých a velkých firem a porovnává postoje těchto jednotlivých personalistů. Práce je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu za použití polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s personalisty a jsou zde reflektovány výsledky zkoumání. Závěr obsahuje shrnutí výsledků, jejich zhodnocení a podání návrhu na rozšíření výzkumu.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on personnel clerks´ attitudes to employment of women at the age of 18 – 30 and simultaneously it researches whether expectations of these attitudes are met or not and what role predjudices and stereotypes play in this topic. Next question the thesis is answering is how the personnel clerks evaluate women as employees and what is their access to women as potential employees in particular areas of accepting applicants. Minimization and disregard of this problem results in putting aside the discrimination, predjudiced and stereotyped attitudes and that´s why these are still actual problems of our society. Empiric part of the thesis is attempting the reflection of attitudes of personnel clerks from medium-sized and large companies and it is comparing the attitudes of these particular personnel clerks. The thesis is based on a qualitative research via using semi-structured interview with personnel clerks and the results of the research are reflected here. The conslusion includes the summary of the results, their evaluation and a proposal to extend the research.
