The Virgin Mary Church in Nový Jičín

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá dějinami farního kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Novém Jičíně i jeho zařízení od jeho pravděpodobného vzniku až dodnes. První část si všímá všech podstatných faktorů na vývoj podoby této historicky cenné stavby, jako jsou požár v roce 1503, příchod jezuitů, přestavby v různých slozích a asi největší zásah do podoby kostela, kterým bylo zboření a znovuvystavění za výskytu morové epidemie v letech 1729-1732. Druhá a třetí část práce popisují vnitřní a vnější části a vybavení kostela, jako jsou zvony, věž, oltáře, okenní vitráže, lavice apod. a změny jejich vzhledu. V neposlední řadě je zde obsažen soupis novojičínských farářů od roku 1366 až dodnes a je uveden také jejich přínos k rozvoji chrámu a města na pozadí důležitých náboženských proměn, jež významně zasáhly do celých dějin kostela.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the history of the parochial Virgin Mary church and its establishment from its building up today. At first it deals with the main factors for the evolution of the image of this historical building, as the fire in 1503, the coming of Jesuits or rebuilding in various styles were. The destruction and the new rebuilding of the church from 1729 to 1732 was the most important interference with the image of the church. The second and the third part of this work deals with the inner and outer equipment of the church, for example with the bells, tower, altars, stained glass, pews, etc. Than, there is the list of the rectors from 1366 up to date and finally it contains the part about religious changes in Nový Jičín, too.
