Complete and compact metric spaces – theory and examples
Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme stručnému popisu úplných a kompaktních metrických prostorů. Nejprve se zaměřujeme na základní vlastnosti metrických prostorů. Dále se věnujeme úplným a kompaktním metrickým prostorům a jejich nejdůležitějším vlastnostem. Veškeré poznatky se poté snažíme demonstrovat na typově různých příkladech a protipříkladech, které prokládají jednotlivé definice a věty.
Abstract:
In this thesis we study theory of complete and compact metric spaces. At first we give attention to basic characteristics of metric spaces. Then we examine complete and compact metric spaces and the most important properties of them. Finally, we demonstrate this knowledge by different types of examples and counterexamples.
