Třinecké železárny: actor of regional development

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci je sledována provázanost dominantního průmyslového podniku jak se samotným městem, ve kterém sídlí, tak s celým přilehlým regionem. Konkrétně si práce klade za cíl popsat a rozčlenit vlivy největšího hutnického podniku v Česku, a to sídla společnosti Třinecké železárny, a.s. na město Třinec a region vymezený prostřednictvím územních jednotek LAU 1. Teoretická část shrnuje jednotlivé příklady kooperace podniku a jeho zázemí nebo dopady ekonomických událostí, jako třeba privatizace. V praktické části jsou zhodnoceny vlivy tohoto podniku podle veřejně dostupných dat doplněných o neveřejná soukromá data firmy. Nedílnou součástí je pak dotazníkové šetření zjišťující názor obyvatel na samotný hutnický závod a jeho provázanost s městem. Výsledkem analýzy je např. podrobná mapa dojížďky, označení znečištění ovzduší jako hlavního negativního vlivu, nebo zvýšené množství autobusových spojů v časech konce směn. Dále byla respondenty vyjádřena celková spokojenost s životem ve městě, potvrzení vlivu podniku na polské a slovenské příhraniční obce či vyjádření spokojenosti s podporou sportu a sponzoringu obecně.

Abstract:

In this bachelor's thesis, the interconnection of the dominant industrial company with the city in which it is located and with the entire adjacent region is analyzed. Specifically, the thesis aims to describe and analyzed the influences of the largest metallurgical company in the Czech Republic, the Třinec branch of Třinecké železárny, a.s. to the city of Třinec and the region delimited by territorial units LAU 1. The theoretical part summarizes individual examples of company cooperation with surrounding region or the impacts of economic events, such as privatization. The practical part evaluates the influences of this company according to publicly available data supplemented by non-public company data. An integral part is a questionnaire survey to find out the opinion of the population on the metallurgical company and its connection with the city. The result of the analysis is, for example, a detailed map of commuting, the indication of air pollution as the main negative impact, or an increased number of bus connections at the shifts-end times. Furthermore, the respondents expressed overall satisfaction with life in the city, confirmation of the company's influence on Polish and Slovak border villages or expression of satisfaction with the support of sports and sponsorship in general.
