Identification of drivers with low and high fuel consumption for heterogeneous driving routes

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je srovnání a identifikace řidičů nákladních vozidel s neočekávaně nízkou a vysokou spotřebou paliva s přihlédnutím k heterogenitě jízdních úseků, v kterých byla spotřeba paliva měřena. Nejprve je vyvinut prediktivní model, který jednotlivým jízdním úsekům přiřadí očekávanou spotřebu paliva. Na základě toho jsou identifikování a analyzováni řidiči, kteří se vyznačují neočekávaně nízkou, nebo vysokou spotřebou paliva s očištěním dopadu různých charakteristik jízdních úseků. V návaznosti na to jsou identifikovány proměnné charakterizující jízdní styl řidiče, které mají vliv na spotřebu paliva. Pro tyto proměnné jsou vyvinuty prediktivní modely, které predikují očekávanou hodnotu těchto proměnných pro různé jízdní úseky. Pro řidiče, pro které je spotřeba paliva neočekávaná, jsou porovnány odchylky hodnot proměnných charakterizujících jízdní styl od jejich očekávaných hodnot, ve snaze vysvětlit neočekávanou hodnotu spotřeby paliva.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare and identify drivers of trucks with unexpectedly low and high fuel consumption, taking into account the heterogeneity of driving routes in which fuel consumption was measured. First, a predictive model was developed that assigns the expected fuel consumption to individual routes. Based on this, drivers are characterized and analyzed, which are characterized by unexpectedly low or high fuel consumption with adjustment for the impact of various characteristics of driving routes. Following this, the variables characterizing the driver's driving style are identified, which affect the fuel consumption. Predictive models have been developed for these variables that predict the expected value of these variables for different travel routes. For drivers for whom fuel consumption is unexpected, the deviations of the values of the driving characteristics from the expected values are compared in an attempt to explain the unexpected value of fuel consumption.
