Písemná část se zabývá historií a vzhledem a vývojem jednotlivých částí tradičního islandského kroje. Zkoumá vnější podměty, které tento vývoj ovlivnily, dále pak také současný význam a využití tohoto národního oděvu. tato část se zabývá také tradicí výroby obuvi na Islandu. The written part deals with the history and appearance and development of individual parts of traditional Icelandic costume. It examines the external subjects that influenced this development, as well as the current meaning and use of this national clothing.
