Evaluation of synusia of moths (Lepidoptera) on post-industrial sites near Horní Bříza town

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce shrnuje výsledky inventarizačního průzkumu a zhodnocení synuzie velkých nočních motýlů post-industriálních stanovišť v okolí obce Horní Bříza. Druhy nočních motýlů byly sledovány za pomocí speciálně sestavených světelných UV-lapačů na osmi charakterově odlišných stanovištích. Vyhodnocení druhů proběhlo na základě indexu diverzity (Shannon-Wienerův index) a počet druhů byl odhadnut na základě Chao1 indexu. Celkově bylo na zkoumaných stanovištích v roce 2022 zjištěno 178 druhů nočních motýlů z 10 čeledí. Deset druhů náleží do Červeného seznamu ohrožených druhů. Nejvyšší počet druhů byl odhadnut u stanovišť v aktivní částí lomu a stanovišť se spontánní sukcesí. Z hlediska indexu diverzity dosahují nejvyšších hodnot stanoviště v neaktivní části lomu a stanoviště se spontánní sukcesí.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis summarizes the results of an inventory survey and evaluation of synusia of large nocturnal butterflies from post-industrial habitats around the village of Horní Bříza. The species of nocturnal butterflies were monitored using specially assembled UV light traps in eight character-different habitats. The evaluation of species was based on the diversity index (Shannon-Wiener index) and the number of species was estimated based on the Chao1 index. Overall, in 2022, 178 species of nocturnal butterflies out of 10 different families were detected in the surveyed habitats. Ten species are included in the Red List of Threatened Species. The highest number of species was estimated in habitats located in the active part of the quarry and habitats with spontaneous ecological succession. From the viewpoint of the diversity index, the highest levels were reached by the habitats in the inactive part of the quarry and habitats with spontaneous ecological succession.
