Graphic speech in public space/ wall of the swimming pool at Lochotin

Abstract:

Předmětem práce je optimalizace vztahů ve veřejném prostoru v areálu bazénu ZČU v Plzni na Lochotíně. Projekt je ideálním východiskem, které by mělo vést ke sjednocení kompozičního řešení bazénu a jeho okolí prostřednictvím grafického projevu na architektonických detailech stavby. Ve vstupní části je pro podpoření dojmu ze sochy z nerezové oceli použit pás ze stejného materiálu, který přesahuje na střechu budovy. Plášť budovy je dále doplněn opakujícím se pásem z dlaždic. Obě zpracování reagují na kontext, hmotu i materiál stavby ve spojitosti s vodním živlem.

Abstract:

The subject of the work is an optimalization of relations in the public space in the complex of the UWB swimming pool in Pilsen Lochotin. The projet is an ideal starting point, which should lead to consolidation of the composition resolution of the pool and the surrounding area through the graphic speech on the architectural details of the building. In the entering part of the structure, there is a stainless steel sculpture whose impact on the audience should be empowered by the sheet of the same metal which overlaps to the roof of the house. The entrance is to encourage the impression of the sculpture of stainless steel strip used in the same material that goes beyond the roof of the building. The building shell is further complemented by bands of repeating tiles. Both respond to the context of processing, construction material and material in connection with water element.
