Quality standards of social services in the home for clients with disabilities

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak pracovníci v sociálních službách v domově hodnotí funkčnost vybraných standardů kvality č. 3., 4., 5. v sociálních službách ve své organizaci. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní informace k tomuto tématu a vymezeny základní pojmy. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky šetření. Výzkumný soubor respondentů tvořilo 97 zaměstnanců pracujících v Integrovaném sociálním ústavu v Komorní Lhotce, v Domově pro seniory ve Frýdlantu nad Ostravicí a Domově pro seniory ve Frýdku-Místku. Výzkumem bylo prokázáno, že respondenti zjišťují potřeby a zájmy zájemce. Dbají na to, aby zájemce rozuměl podmínkám smlouvy. Za problematickou považují schopnost uživatelů porozumět a chápat obsah a podmínky smlouvy, které podepisují. Respondenti se domnívají, že jednotná formulace podmínek smlouvy přispívá k jejímu plnění. Dokumenty: smlouva s uživatelem, dohoda o realizování sociální služby a individuální plánování ulehčují práci. Pracovníci s klienty spolupracují. Jejich vzájemná participace spočívá v tom, že pracovníci konzultují s uživateli jejich individuální cíle a rovněž k tomu přispívá i skutečnost, že tak činí pravidelně.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out, how social services workers in homes assess functionalities of selected social services quality standards no. 3., 4., 5. in their organizations. A theoretical part gives basic information to this subject and specifies fundamental terms. A practical part deals with the questionnaire investigation. The investigation set consisted of 97 employees working in Integrated social institute in Komorní Lhotka, in Home for the Elderly in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí and in Home for the Elderly in Frýdek-Místek. The research proved that respondents find out needs and interests of a candidate. They ensure that the candidate understand contract conditions. Respondents consider that the ability of clients to understand and comprehend the content and conditions of the contract, users sign, is problematic. Respondents think that united formulation of conditions of the contract contributes to its fulfillment. Documents, such as the contract with the user, the agreement about realizing social services and individual planning, make the work easier. Workers cooperate with clients. Their mutual participation lies in the fact that workers consult with clients their individual aims and they do it on a regular basis.
