The issue of care for patients with intracranial sensor

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zjistit úroveň teoretických znalostí všeobecných sester v problematice péče o pacienta s intrakraniálním čidlem. Dílčími cíly pak bylo zjištění úrovně znalostí v souvislosti s typem pracoviště, věkem, délkou praxe, absolvováním specializačního vzdělání, vysokoškolského vzdělání a osobní zkušeností s péčí o tyto pacienty. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 80 všeobecných sester pracujících ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava na ARK a NCHK. Výzkum byl realizován pomocí dotazníku sestaveného výzkumníkem. Z výsledků šetření bylo zjištěno, že všeobecné sestry mají vyhovující úroveň teoretických znalostí v problematice péče o pacienty s ICP čidlem, dále bylo zjištěno, že neexistuje statisticky významný rozdíl v úrovni teoretických znalostí všeobecných sester v problematice péče o pacienta s intrakraniálním čidlem na jednotlivých pracovištích. Taktéž není rozdíl v úrovni znalostí v závislosti na věku všeobecných sester, jejich délkou praxe a není rozdíl ani v souvislosti s faktem, zda absolvovali specializační vzdělání či vysokoškolské vzdělání. Statisticky významný rozdíl byl prokázán pouze v souvislosti s osobní zkušeností péče o pacienty s ICP čidlem, kdy všeobecné sestry mající tuto zkušenost dosáhli lepších výsledků než všeobecné sestry bez této zkušenosti.

Abstract:

The aim of my work was to find out the level of nurses´ theoretical knowledge regarding the care for patient with intracranial sensor. Partial aims were to find out the knowledge levels regarding type of workplace, age, length of practice, passing of special education, graduation at the University and personal experience with care about these patients. Research group consisted of 80 general nurses who work in teaching Ostrava Universty hospital at clinic of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation and Neurosurgery clinic. Research was based on questionnaires which were made by researcher. From the results it was discovered that general nurses have suitable theoretical knowledge level towards the issue care for patient with ICP sensor, further there was found out that there is no statistically significant difference in nurses´ knowledge levels regarding care for patient with intracranial sensor at individual departments. There is also no difference in theoretical knowledge levels regarding age of nurses, their length of practice not even in passing of special education or graduation at the University. Statistically significant difference was proved only regarding personal experience with care for these patients with ICP sensor. General nurses being experienced with this ICP sensor reached better results than general nurses without any personal experience.
