The impact of workplace social atmosphere on learning culture

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá vliv sociální atmosféry na pracovišti na kulturu učení. V rámci literární rešerše je představena sociální skupina a její atmosféra, dále se práce zaměřuje na kulturu učení a dimenze učící se organizace. Klíčovým prvkem této práce je právě vztah mezi sociální atmosférou a kulturou učení. V rámci praktické části byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum za pomoci dotazníkového šetření, kterého se účastnili pracovníci vybraných organizací. Kultura učení v organizacích byla zkoumána za pomoci dotazníku „The Dimensions of the Learning Organization Questionnaire“ a sociální atmosféra na pracovišti byla zkoumána pomocí dotazníku „Škála sociálnej atmosféry v skupine“. Výsledky získaných dat prokázaly slabou až silnou závislost mezi faktory sociální atmosféry a dimenzemi kultury učení u Organizace X a velmi střední závislost u Organizace Y. V závěru jsou zpracována doporučení pro obě organizace, jež jim mohou pomoci ke zlepšení sociální atmosféry na pracovišti a celkovou kulturu učení.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the influence of the social atmosphere in the workplace on the culture of learning. The literature research introduces the social group and its atmosphere. The thesis focuses on the learning culture and the dimensions of the learning organization. The relationship between social atmosphere and learning culture is the key element of this thesis. In the practical part, quantitative research was conducted using a questionnaire survey in which employees of the selected organizations participated. The learning culture in the organizations was investigated by using "The Dimensions of the Learning Organization Questionnaire" and the social atmosphere in the workplace was investigated by using the "Social Atmosphere Scale in the Group" questionnaire. The results of the data obtained showed a weak to strong relationship between the social atmosphere factors and the dimensions of learning culture for Organization X and a very moderate relationship for Organization Y. Recommendations are made for both organizations that can help them to improve the social atmosphere in the workplace and the overall learning culture at the end of this thesis.
