The Style of the Language in Translations of Eugene O'Neill's Play Anna Christie
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou stylizace mluvenosti v díle Eugena O'Neilla Anna Christie a jeho dvou českých překladech s ohledem na prostředky, které přispívají k jazykové charakterizaci vybraných postav. Zaměřuje se na odlišnosti v užitých prostředcích mezi anglickým a českým textem a mezi českými překlady na vybraných jazykových rovinách.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with the style of the language in the play Anna Christie by Eugene O'Neill and its two Czech translations while focusing on the features typical for the chosen characters in the play. The aim is to compare the differences in the use of the features between English and Czech and between the translations on selected linguistic levels.
