Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Být matkou není povinnost“ se zabývá dobrovolnou bezdětností jako volbou ženy. Hlavním cílem práce je popsat život celoživotně dobrovolně bezdětných žen se zaměřením na pohnutky, vedoucí k tomuto rozhodnutí. Práce je teoreticko - empirického charakteru. Teoretická část práce se věnuje popisu a dělení současné rodiny a teoriím reprodukčního chování s ohledem na ženskou část populace. Součástí je i popis bezdětnosti dobrovolné a nedobrovolné včetně jejich rozdělení. Práce obsahuje i postoje společnosti k dobrovolné bezdětnosti a výčet motivů, které mohou hrát zásadní roli v rozhodování o bezdětnosti. Empirická část se skládá z metodologické části a interpretace dat. Metodologická část popisuje kvalitativní přístup užitý při realizaci výzkumu zaměřeném na zodpovězení vytyčených výzkumných otázek. Interpretace dat předkládá výsledky získané z analýzy hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The masters dissertation entitled „To be a mother is not a duty“ deals with voluntary childlessness as a woman‘s choice. The main objective is to describe the life of a voluntarily childless women, focusing on the motives leading to this decision. The dissertation has a theoretical-empirical character. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the description and the division of a current family and current theories of reproductive behavior with regard to the female population. It also includes a description of voluntary childlessness and unvolutary childlessness, including their division. The thesis also includes society's attitudes to a voluntary childlessness and a list of motives that may play a crucial role in a decision to the childlessness. The empirical part consists of the methodological part and the data interpretation. The methodological part describes the qualitative approach used in the implementation of the research, which is aimed at answering the outlined research questions. The interpretation shows the results of the analysis of in-depth semi-structured interviews.
