Abstract:

Kosterní pozůstatky jsou v archeologii často využívány k určování výživy a mobility jedinců. Hlavní složkou je hydroxyapatit. Chemické složení kosterní tkáně je však ovlivněno diagenezí, která nastává po úmrtí jedince. Alterace fosfátu a stupeň diageneze závisí na několika podmínkách jako např. teplota, pH půdy. V případě velmi starých a tedy petrifikovaných tkání mohou být součástí struktury hydroxyapatitu prvky vzácných zemin, uran a thorium. Diplomová práce je zaměřena právě na studium distribuce a stanovení obsahů vybraných prvků, zvláště prvků vzácných zemin ve fosilních dinosauřích zubech, kostech a skořápkách metodou LA-ICP-MS. Je diskutována problematika míry diageneze u fosfátové a karbonátové fáze v souvislosti s obsahem REE a strukturou studovaného materiálu. Pro ověření správnosti výsledků byla použita elektronová mikrosonda. U jednotlivých kalcifikovaných tkání byly sledovány korelační závislosti mezi měřenými prvky. Statistická analýza byla provedena za účelem rozdělení všech analyzovaných vzorků podle obsahu REE.

Abstract:

Archaeologists utilize skeletal remains to determine diet and mobility of individuals. The main component is hydroxyapatite. The chemical composition of skeletal tissue is influenced by diagenesis occurring immediately after death of individual. Alteration of phosphate and level of diagenesis depends on several conditions such as temperature, soil pH, etc. Incorporation of rare earth elements, uranium and thorium into the hydroxyapatite structure can be observed in case of petrified tissues. The diploma thesis is focused on the study of distribution and determination of selected elements, especially rare earth elements in fossil dinosaur teeth, bones and shells by LA-ICP-MS method. The stage of diagenesis of phosphate and carbonate phase is discussed in relation to REE contents as well as the structure of studied materials. Electron microprobe analysis was used to verify results obtained by LA-ICP-MS. Correlation dependencies of measured elements were studied for each of calcified tissues. Statistical analysis was also performed to distinguish differences between all samples according REE contents.
