Abstract:
In my thesis I explore the female characters in the dramatic work of Diane Glancy, a contemporary novelist, poet and playwright of Cherokee, German and English origin. I consider her heroines to be images of Cherokee women that mirror the changes these women and their social position have undergone since the European invasion.
