The Jewish Topic in the Work of Jiří Kovtun
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na část díla českého exilového historika Jiřího Kovtuna (1927 – 2014), která se zabývá židovskou tématikou. Těžiště práce spočívá v mnohovrstevném rozboru Kovtunovy rozsáhlé monografie věnované hilsneriádě s názvem Tajuplná vražda (1994). Na jeho základě se pokouší o charakteristiku Jiřího Kovtuna jako historika.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis focuses on the works of a Czech exile historian Jiří Kovtun (1927 – 2014), which address the Jewish topic. The focal point of the thesis is Kovtun´s monography on Hilsner affair called Tajuplná vražda (1994). On the basis of a multifaceted analysis of the book the thesis aims at portraying Jiří Kovtun as a historian.
