The Linguistic Construction´s Analysis of Social Gender in German and Czech Language Textbooks

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématikou genderu ve vybraných učebnicích německého jazyka pro druhý stupeň základní školy. Cílem této práce je najít odpovědi na následující otázky: Pomocí jakých jazykových a komunikačních prostředků (např. ilustrací) je ve vybraných učebnicích reflektován gender? Jaké jsou zásadní rozdíly v německých a českých učebnicích z pohledu genderové vyváženosti? Stěžejní částí této analýzy je použití příkladových vět, oslovení žáků a ilustrace. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část empirickou. V teoretické části jsou objasněny základní pojmy z oblasti genderové tématiky a je představena odborná literatura z oblasti Jazyk a gender. V empirické částí dochází k samotné analýze vybraných jazykových učebnic. Na konci této části dochází ke shrnutí výsledků analýzy a k vyvození závěru vyplývajícího z výzkumu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of gender in selected German language textbooks at the second stage of primary school. The aim of this work is to find answers to the following questions: What language and communication means (eg illustrations) are used to reflect gender in selected textbooks? What are the fundamental differences in German and Czech textbooks in terms of gender balance? The central part of this analysis is the use of example sentences, addressing students and illustrations. The work is divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part clarifies the basic concepts in the field of gender issues and presents the literature in the field of language and gender. In the empirical part, there are analyses of selected language textbooks. At the end of this part, the results of the analyses are summarized and the conclusions of the research result are drawn.
