Professionalisation of Directors in Czechoslovak Animation
Abstract:
Cílem této práce je představit dosud nepopsaný fenomén profesionalizace amatérských režisérů animovaných filmů v Československu. Zaměřuje se na postavy, které ji svým působením umožnily či zprostředkovaly, na okolnosti přestupu z pole amatérského do profesionálního i na význam a kontinuitu osobité výtvarné stylistiky, kterou tito režiséři do struktur státního filmu přinesli.

The aim of this thesis is to present the hitherto undescribed phenomenon of the professionalisation of amateur animation directors in Czechoslovakia. It focuses on the figures who made it possible or mediated it, on the circumstances of the transition from the amateur to the professional field, and on the importance and continuity of the distinctive artistic stylistics that these directors brought …more
