Breeding of selected insects and their use in teaching of natural history at the lower secondary school

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá chovy vybraných druhů hmyzu a jejich následným využitím při výuce přírodopisu na základních školách. V teoretické části práce je uvedena návaznost, propojení přírodopisu a daného tématu v kurikulárních dokumentech. Dále legislativa chovu živočichů na základních školách, popis chovu a charakteristika vybraných druhů hmyzu. Metodika se věnuje řešerši učebnic přírodopisu, chovu hmyzu na základních školách, využití chovaného hmyzu při výuce přírodopisu, srovnávacím testům, protokolům a dotazníkovému šetření. V praktické části je uvedena analýza učebnic přírodopisu, zhodnocení realizace chovů na ZŠ a MŠ Újezd ve Zlínském kraji a realizace výuky s využitím chovaného hmyzu. V kapitole výsledky je uvedeno vyhodnocení srovnávacích testů a výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které bylo zaměřeno na zjištění stavu chovů na základních školách ve Zlínském a Jihomoravském kraji ve školním roce 2021/2022. Po výsledcích následují kapitoly diskuse, ve které jsou výsledky této práce srovnány s výsledky prací jiných autorů a závěr.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the breeding of selected insect species and their subsequent use in the teaching of natural history in primary schools. In the theoretical part of the thesis the continuity, connection between natural history and the topic in curriculum documents is presented. Furthermore, the legislation of animal breeding in primary schools, description of breeding and characteristics of selected insect species. The methodology is devoted to the solution of natural history textbooks, insect breeding in primary schools, the use of bred insects in teaching natural history, comparative tests, protocols and questionnaire survey. In the practical part, the analysis of natural history textbooks, evaluation of the implementation of breeding in primary school Újezd in the Zlín region and the implementation of teaching using bred insects are presented. In the results chapter, the results of comparative tests and the results of a questionnaire survey aimed at finding out the status of breeding in primary schools in the Zlín and South Moravia regions in the school year 2021/2022 are presented. The results are followed by a discussion chapter in which the results of this work are compared with the results of other authors' work and a conclusion.
