Tématem předložené práce je soubor oltářních obrazů vytvořených malířem Františkem Vavřincem Korompayem (1723 - 1779) pro městský kostel sv. Jakuba Většího v Brně. František Vavřinec Korompay, rodák z Rohatce u Strážnice, se ve 2. polovině 18. století usadil v Brně a vytvořil zde mnoho obrazů pro brněnské i jiné moravské kostely. Byl také portrétistou. Abstract:
The topic of this work is a collection of paintings created for the town church of St. James the Great in Brno by the painter František Vavřinec Korompay (1723 – 1779). František Vavřinec Korompay, born in Rohatec near Strážnice, settled in Brno in the second half of the forties of 18th century.
