Čestmír Jeřábek's literary work during the second decade of the 20th century

Abstract:

Předkládaná disertační práce "Tvorba Čestmíra Jeřábka ve dvacátých letech dvacátého století" se svým tématem vřazuje do současného literárněhistorického diskursu, neboť obohacuje poznání expresionistického odkazu Literární skupiny na základě analýzy prozaického díla Čestmíra Jeřábka z dvacátých let 20. století. Zaměřili jsme se na bádání v archivních institucích, abychom cestou ad fontes mohli za pomocí studovaných dokumentů, dopisů, deníků či rukopisů verifikovat interpretace jednotlivých Jeřábkových publikovaných textů.

Abstract:

This doctoral thesis is a monograph of Czech writer Čestmír Jeřábek´s (18. 8. 1893 – 15. 9. 1981) writings. The monograph is based on the research of historical sources: documents concerning Jeřábek from the literary archive in Památník národního písmnictví in Prague, Jeřábek´s heritage, it means the diaries, manuscripts, letters. The trends of a contemporary literature research is a review of the modern age in the beginning of 20th century. This thesis presents a new perspective on Jeřábek´s work. At the same time it brings a new focus on the period called expressionist avant-garde in point of view of Jeřábek´s work during the second decade of 20th century which was analysed and interpreted.
