Analysis of the Model of Management of the State Contributory Organisation of the National Gallery in Prague

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je chování státní příspěvkové organizace Národní galerie v Praze pod manažerským vedením v období hospodářské stagnace. V první části práce jsou vysvětleny hlavní rysy financování, právního postavení a činnosti státních příspěvkových organizací v kultuře s uvedením parametrů jejich transformace vzhledem k vykazovaným nedostatkům této právní formy. Druhá část práce uvádí dopady útlumu ekonomiky na zkoumaný subjekt Národní galerii v Praze včetně navazujícího popisu nejdůležitějších strategických opatření, jež byla navržena managementem za účelem stabilizace organizace před přijetím zásadní změny právní formy. Poslední část práce je věnována strategickému zaměření managementu na příjmy organizace a porovnání daného přístupu s řízením instituce pod předchozím vedením.

Abstract:

The goal of the diploma thesis is behaviour of the state contributory organisation of the National Gallery in Prague under the managerial leadership in the period of the economic stagnation. In the first part, the main aspects of the financing, legal position and the activities of the state contributory organisations in culture are being explained with stated parameters of their transformation with respect to the reported shortcoming of this legal form. The second part of the thesis states impacts of the absorption of economy on the researched subject -- the National Gallery in Prague and a description of the most important strategic measures that were proposed by the management with an aim to stabilize the organization prior to a crucial change of the legal form. The last part is dedicated to a management strategic focus on incomes of the organization on a comparison of the chosen attitude to the institution under the foregoing management.
