Employees of Telephone Crisis Assistance: Possibilities of Their Education and Supervision

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Pracovníci telefonické krizové pomoci, jejich vzdělávání a supervize" je zaměřena na pracovníky nabízející telefonickou krizovou pomoc. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje, co jsou pojmy sociální služby, krize, telefonická krizová pomoc, výhody a nevýhody této služby a rozdělení linek pomoci podle cílové skupiny. Dále se zabývá pracovníky telefonické krizové pomoci, zátěžovými faktory působící na pracovníky, vzděláváním, možné supervize a psychohygieny. V praktické části se práce zaměřuje na přípravu a samotný výzkum. Zde analyzuje výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu provedeného dotazníkovou metodou u pracovníků telefonické krizové pomoci, zaměřeného na využitelnost a nabízené možnosti kurzů a procesu vzdělávání. Dále také na možnosti supervize, psychohygieny a řešení syndromu vyhoření.

Abstract:

This thesis " Employees of Telephone Crisis Assistance, Possibilities of their Education and Supervision" is devoted to the topic of workers of crisis hotlines. The theoretical part of the thesis provides the necessary definitions and descriptions of the basic terms such as social services, crisis, and crisis hotline. It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the service and specifies the basic characteristics of its structure based on the target group. Furthermore, it focuses on the workers of crisis hotlines and the stress factors that might affect them. Consequently, it considers the necessary education, supervision, and psychohygiene essential for this job. The practical part is concerned with the research and its preparation. The data were gathered through quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire. The questionnaires were filled in by current crisis hotline workers, focusing on courses and other means of education available to them, mapping their access to supervision, psychohygiene, and possible prevention of burnout syndrome.
